New tubes from JJ? Anyone tried the 6550, EL844 or 6ca7?

The =C= 6550s in my Budda just took a dump. Thave been very dull sounding recently with almost no gain and yesterday went microphonic. Looking for alternatives, I stumbled across the new offerings from JJ and just ordered a set of their 6550s. These are supposed to be a new design and not just the KT88 in a slimmer bottle.

Has anyone tried these or the other new tubes?
