Noisy Ibanez FL9 flanger, anyone know of any mods?

Hey guys, hope you've all had a good Christmas.

I have an FL9 and whilst I love the actual effect I've noticed that induces a fair bit of noise (hiss) to my rig when switched on and even worse is that when it's off I get strange modulation noise bleeding through?????? Anyone ever had anything like this and is there a fix?

Cheers.

Thats kinda odd. I have a couple of these and neither of them have any sort of modulation when the effect is off. They arent 100% transparent when off i can hear a bit of attenuation in the highs but thats it. I'm wondering if there isnt something wrong with it.

That's what I thought, shame because I really like the effect.

Ok, either of those of the TB kind??
Or was there a buffer in one of the pedals??
Often the amps impedance can do strange stuff to normally buffered pedals, if they do not have a buffered pedal in front.

Neither of my old FL-9's did not have any bleed....
Could be that?!

Ah, I'm sure ALL are TB. Should I get something with a buffer to go before it? Any suggestions?
