  • Finally got vintage tones out of my Peavey Valve king 112 head.

It only took 12 pre amp tube swaps, and power tube swap. Settled on a USA Raytheon 1960 long black plate 12ax7 in V1, Mullard RI 12ax7 long plate in V2, Mullard RI 12at7 ( long plate ) in V3, and Mullard 6l6 power tubes ( short bottle similar to tung sols) . Run all of that through an Eminence Big Ben 15 in a vented Fender Bassman cab and plug a seymour duncan sfx11 in the effects loop for additional blues tube tone and BAM! I have one amazing sounding 50 watt Peavey tube amp.
