  • New Year with extreme volume

It's a good thing my neighbors like me.

Every once in awhile, I blast my amps to the highest sonic levels possible to amuse myself. This is how to break in speakers! Don't listen to wimps who do it any other way. Ha

I own one of the loudest Marshalls ever made, the 4 6550 JCM 800. This thing dwarfs a 100W Plexi on 10 when it's on 3 or 4! It's as loud as a Marshall Major. My 100W Bogner XTC is also a volume monster. I hooked all of it up through 4 412's in my mancave this evening and just about turned my 2 story stucco house into a pile of sand. LOL

So fun. I'm getting F'ed up at the moment. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

1984 4103 212 combo. Loudest combo on earth.
    1986 2204 50W
    1987 2550 50W Jubilee.
    2012 Bad Cat Cougar 50. Most underrated EL-34 50W.
1995 Bogner white chassis 101B XTC.
    Cabs have combinations of V30, H30, 75T, Creamback 65.

Somewhere, some internet guru is complaining that you're too loud and that 15w is all you need.

F*ck you Mr. 15w Internet Amp Guy, and f*ck your stupid 15w amp.

      get'r done

That's one thing I like about finally having a delay/looper. (tc -fb v1)
I can make a loop/s, jack up the level, then go downstairs/outside and see for myself how loud/good it actually is for the neighbors.
Also very fun to use one channel/amp for the rhythm loop then switch channels or even go through another head/cab for leads.

Rock'n'Roll is in dire need of more wattage and more F***you's.

Why do you think it's called the Quick Rod?

Definitely the way to ring in the new year. I have a couple of 4'12s I put my rockerverb through ever once in a while, it is very loud. Lovely amps you have there, and happy new year to yall.

You've got some real nice gear, man.

I am also envious of your neighbours tolerance. Mine would call the cops.

Loudest stereo rig I've ever had was my Bogner XTC Classic and Uberschall Twin Jet. It was pretty glorious. Though my current Friedman BE100 and Splawn Quick Rod is no slouch in volume.
