  • New Speaker(s) day

Actually, two days ago I picked these up. I got a killer deal off Craigslist. I've been wanting to try the Swamp Thangs ever since I bought my Orange head. A lot of guys on the Orange forum love 'em. I put them in my 2x12 Carvin cabinet (once was a combo) last night. It was a little late so I didn't get a chance to fully test them out yet, but even at a lower volume they sound full and huge. A lot more bottom end than the stock Carvin's. Can't wait to open 'em up later today.

And hey, just the name of them is bad ass.

As am I. Been curious about these and the Red Fang Alnico 12" myself. Would love to hear a review post "gettin' acquainted" period.

        Congrats!

I personally think the American-voiced Eminences are their best speakers.

I was toying setting up a 2x12 with Texas Heat/Swamp Thang or Red Fang Alnico. That said I've got the Josh Smith so I might have to pick up a Swamp Thang to go with it.
