  • NAD

Picked this up at a pawn shop today for cheap. A little 60’s National SS.
I’m always keeping an eye out for old amps to use for recording. For a 4”(?) speaker, it’s got a cool sounding break up when cranked. Haven’t put a pedal in front of it yet.

I love cool old SS amps like that. I think that is because my first amp was my older brother's and it was an old Univox from the early 70s.

I am so very intrigued by the tiny speaker.

4” speaker? That is a pedal, innit?

That is a sweet little amp. I could see myself hitting it with a bit of overdrive, cracking a beer and getting lost in a bit of drop-D slide for a bit.

Recording some raunchy slide is exactly what came to mind for this when I first saw it and plugged it in.

Someone must’ve went with 6” speaker upgrade. Lol

Was thinking of going with a bigger speaker in mine, but I kind of like how it is.
