    id say they would, although greenbacks can get mushy on the bottom end if you push too much bass

      Don't waste your money buying a 65 and ruining it with these bad mods.

      Get a 70s model that already has master volume and is already half as valuable. Mod that.

        You're probably right. But 70's Bassmans don't have the AB165 curcuit. My intention isn't to ruin the amp, nor make it is something it isn't, but rather make it a bit more playable.

        Also, adding a master volume to these amps is not an uncommon mod:

          Just like the Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret MKiii, it’s a fantastic “Amp in a Box” pedal IMHO, especially while running at 18V!!!

              the catalinbread is a great pedal but its a tweed bassman tone which is quite different than the bf bassman
