Re: Please Help ID My Bassman 50 Circuit....

So I picked up this Bassman 50 last weekend & it’s actually a great amp considering I only paid $100 for it!!!

That being said it appears to be 100% original aside from the power tubes & it’s going to need a recap sometime in the near future so I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out exactly what circuit it is? As best as I can tell it’s a 1973 head but I’m certainly no expert in amplifier dating so if I’m wrong & the “made in” date is off it’d be nice to know the year & circuit???

    Thanks in advance!!!

There should be a Fender plate with the serial number to date this amp. The parts are made earlier, the tranny say end of 72. Also have a look at the bias pot date.
Relying on the tranny stamp 1973 would be in the possible range.

Thanks!!! I’m pretty sure that it’s a 73 at this point....

So no guesses as to the circuit???

It’s looking like I’m going to have to replace the filter caps since a couple are starting to bulge so I figure I might as well do the coupling capacitors, bias capacitor, Etc.at the same time. There’s a couple of places that I can buy recap kits which seems easier than buying each part individually but I’ll have to be sure that I get the right kit before I buy anything....
