  • NAD - Fender content

Thought I'd step up a little as had been spending waaaayyy too much on axes and not on amps, so splashed out recently for my birthday. I wanted something with amazing clean tones, smaller wattage for apartment dwelling, good with pedals, for blues mainly. Umm'ed and ahh'ed between quite a few, but recently sat down at GC and played through a Deluxe Reverb 65 and 68 (great amps, but surprisingly midrange heavy), a couple of boutiques, then stumbled on this bad boy and instantly fell in love. Now I know what everyone raves about, and why it's on so many recordings! The bordeaux tolex and 12" speaker make this a beautiful and loud amp, but as my dirt mainly comes through pedals, I don't mind. The clean tones tho!!!

Excellent choice! Classic circuit, the 12” is a great upgrade and that tolex looks very classy.
    Oh no.....

Jensen alnico-magnet speaker? Not bad. Not bad at all.

I have had the DRRI version of that amp for a few years. Swapped the Jensen for a Celestion A-type to satisfy certain urges. No complaints thus far.
