  • BBE 422A vs 882i

I have 422A in my fx loop for last few years - and I love it! But as I understand it, somewhere in there signal does get converted into a digital form. And on rare occasion i hear some of that flatness during certain types of parts. BBE says that 882i is "all analog" - is it?

Digitally controlled analog audio circuit is what they are meaning I believe.

I always thought the Sonic Maximizer was analog?

yes, my understanding now is that they are, my follow up is on how different the two variations sound.

It doesn't matter which BBE you buy.
But the 422 , in my opinion, was the best BBE unit, ever .
                  It had more options .

Hmmm, but your 462s look exactly the same vs my 422 front panel wise.

The 422 A had XLR inputs and outputs, plus a footswitch plug in, in the back .
