  • Weird combination of speakers in a 4x12?

Hey guys, this was kind of an odd concept I thought of when looking at avatars 4x12 custom, so what do yall think would happen if you mixed two Vintage 30s with one G12H30 and one Greenback?

I use a combination similar to this, I like it, but the H30 and the Greenback are in a combo, and the V30's are in an extention cab

For those of you who mix your speakers, when you play out, how do you decide which speaker to mic?

I decide which speaker to mic depending on how dead or lively the room is, how crowded, etc, plus alot depends on my mood! If I want chunky and dirty I mic the greenback, if I'm going for a cleaner sound I mic the H30, I rarely mic the V30's, they are there mostly for projection.
Overall, the tone of the rig is full and toneful. Hey, have you ever seen all the speakers that Joe Perry uses? Vox, Marshall, Fender, and whatever.
