Re: Quick speaker connector question
They're the wires that connect the speaker to the jacks in the cab. The wires have a metal connector on them that slides on/fits over the metal connectors on the speaker. I'm not sure how they come off.formerly n00b

Re: Quick speaker connector question
They are called "spade" connectors
They slide on and off. You may have to wiggle backand forth to help them

P.S. Sometimes manufactureres put some solder on them, if so you'll have to remove the solder with a solder sucker or braid, so be careful and don't break the tabs1997 Roadhouse Strat

Re: Quick speaker connector question
Ok, I got them off, but when they came off some of the braided wires connecting the wire to the connector broke. Should I just ditch the connectors and solder the wires directly to the speaker tabs, or reattach the connectors?formerly n00b

Re: Quick speaker connector question
Either way.
If you're good at soldering, it looks like your lugs would be easy to solder to, but the connectors are much easier. If it were me- I'd solder the wire back to the plug and use the plug to connect the speaker. I don't like soldering onto speakers.*Recipient of the 2006 Time Magazine "Man Of The Year" Award*
