  • Speaker tone-EV vs. Celestion

In the same amp, what would be the differences between a ceramic magnet 100 watt 12 inch EV, and a Celestion Vintage 30?

Would an electrovoice have much more headroom/efficiency than the celestion? Do electrovoice speakers 'ever' break up?

the vintage 30 would seem louder, due to the pronounced mids. yes, you should be able to get more headroom. EV's do break up, just in a different way than celestions.
