    Hehe yeah, boosters can make something of a difference to the general sound.
    The last drive we made has a booster functioning as a endstage.
    We made a stand alone of it as well, even at very low volumes it almost ripped out harmonics of the amp, so at level where you can speak in a normal voice to each other, we had a guitar going into feed with very litte gain and volume...kinda spooky

      When I use high gain FETs or NPN transistors I run across that if I don't go through a volume pot first. My wife always says something when I do that. The amp has to be on 1/2 so when I kick the circuit on it doesn't blast too loud. I tried the booster at the end thing before too but it didn't work too well. I'm still learning a lot. Been doing the DIY thing for a little more than a year.

        Love the tremolux. Played through one last year and it was like my Vibrolux, only a tad clearer and nicer.

        Want that Soldano cab to match my Hot Rod 50+, too...
