  • My new speaker combination

I had been using a mesa/boogie cab with my krank revolution 1 for a while, and dug the basic sound, but it always had this brittle high-end that just irked the hell out of me. It didn't quite seem to be there with my old marshall cab, though I could never get it to sound as good.

So, I figured it was time for a speaker change.

Got a pair of eminence governors and a pair of man-o-wars. WOW. Pretty much retained the basic sound...maybe a bit less of an upper mid hump, and fixed the brittle high end problem. Tone is real thick and crunchy now. Totally diggin it.

I'd totally reccomend em to anybody who has a similar problem that I had with the V30's...they do make a subtle change to the overall tonality, maybe a bit less bass, and like I said, a bit less of an upper midrange spike. Its worth a try if you're thinkin bout it though.
