Playing my JC-120 right before my first gig with Digital Black we noticed that once the amp volume is up past "2" the starts to get muddier, rather than louder. The sound no longer sounds clean. I was wondering if this was a speaker distortion problem or a ss power amp distortion problem.
Speakers are stock, two 60w Roland speakers.
At the show, fortunately, I'd had access to two JC s. So I had plenty of volume but one might not have cut it. And I can't afford to keep both, I was planning to sell one anyway. (at least one I guess I should now say).'
I love the tone of those amps though...just not past "2". But I need a diagnosis of the problem, and some solutions. Please and thank you, nothin' but love for ya baby.
