New DSL 100h and a 1960ax cab with greenbacks.
was really interested in these speakers, haven't used them much before.

Those will sound great with the DSL. At higher volumes, the greenbacks break up and don't handle metal chugging or heavy rhythm work well. Think Hendrix or AC/DC for that greenback sound.

the 100H was made to capture the classic marshall superlead sounds-clean and dirty WITH channel switching. Some Marshall purists frown upon them but I think they sound great. Gary Moore used them...like here

Happy new HSD!! Nothing like a Marshall ran through Greenbacks, fantastic combo IMHO.

Well I just spent half an hour out there, plugged both cabinets into all 3 amps and turned them up to 7 ish.

I would move back and forth standing in front of each cabinet and listen to the differences.

The greenback ax cab isn't as loud as the V30/T-75 cab, but I'd assume that's a wattage difference? Maybe it's an efficiency difference?

Seems like pretty similar tones in high gain mode, the greenbacks seem to have similar bite and growl, and are a bit smoother overall I'd say.
The t-75/V30 combo has a rompier mid-range and maybe a tad more bottom thump?

Together behind any of the 3 amps they sound amazing! Can't hardly play without smiling at the combined roar!

Seems like as a whole stack they make my 3 amps sound a bit more similar than different.... Perhaps the sound spectrum gets smoothed out by the 3 types of speakers working together? Just my take on it.

Lots more to learn once I get a mic in front of them separately and record some tracks!

Pretty pleased with it so far!

I think that mixing V30's, T-75's and Greenbacks would definitely smooth out the response between different amp heads.
Personally, I'd love to find a pair of K-100's to swap into my old Carvin 4x12 with the original 12M-70's. That or EVM12L's. Doubt that I could afford them right now, even if I could find them.

There really is nothing like the sound of a half stack. I don't think I will ever use them professionally again, but they do sound amazing.

Except the sound of a full stack.

Actually, I like a half stack better.
