  • Best fix for faulty speaker jack?

The 8ohm jack of my mesa 4x12 isn't working. Luckily I had it in parallel with another 8ohm cab when I noticed it playing through my tube amp. The 4x12 also has two 4ohm jacks, which both worked with the same cable so it's not the speakers or cable. First step would be to try contact cleaner?

New jack for sure if thats the problem.
Amp see's an open which is the same as no load which will result in burning out your output transformer.

The arm on the jack is probably just bent
see if you can get to the other side and bend it back

Of course changing it cost $5 or less
