I've been playing the Captain Sunset with different guitars and cabinets and I've come to the conclusion...fun little amp, that's about it? I haven't recorded with it yet, that will come soon. It seems to like the 8 ohm 2X12 cab I described above better than the 16 ohm 4X12. At high volumes, can get squealy even with the volume down on the guitar. Still sounds really cool, but mine doesn't have the "3D" characteristics of a better amp. I wouldn't use it live but it can get really loud for 5 watts and until I get about 2 o'clock on the volume, it sounds good before kind of fizzing. If it was a hundred bucks, I would have been disappointed but at fifty, I'm glad I got it. After the holidays I want to record something with it. Also thinking about getting the Ampero with a power amp to replace the combo. Just for a lighter load to carry to clubs when it's safe to play out again. My songs....enjoy! (hopefully )
