Possible to mod my Blackstar's gain knob? To alter it's range.

Try the 5751. It won't hurt anything and you might like it. I didn't like the tone of a 5751 myself.

Seemed to make my amp sound kind of bland and sound like white bread tastes.

But a lot of guys on internet forums do like it so it's worth a shot.

Maybe forget about the distortion channel altogether, and use your clean channel and a great overdrive pedal. instead?
