Travel Rig / Practice

So My new job has me traveling a lot and staying in hotels
so last month I experimented with a travel rig

I took my Epi Hummingbird, since it is inexpensive and plays so well

but it is a bit fragile and I worried about leaving it in the van with the temperature extremes up the East Coast
it would be freezing in the mornings and 80 F come noon

so I have set up a solid body rig
with my RG2
A PockRock from Ammoon w/ Headphones

this all fits in a single rectangle guitar case
has a drum loop for practicing my scales and timing
tons of effects and a tuner

the RG has my JB/Jazz with the triple shot rings for a versatile rig

Cool setup. I would love to have a guitar on the road but it is not necessary for me. I only travel around once per quarter and usually just a couple of days per trip. Plus when I travel for business there is little downtime.

The effects are not great but workable

For travel, I use my Steinberger and a FlyRig. Pretty small setup.

I'm using a Zoom G1 Four for that purpose and it's good enough through headphones. +1 for looper, drums, and running on AA batteries.

Love that guitar and color. Kind of a cross between blue and purple. And nice clean design. Sweet!

I used to use a Korg Pandora back on deployments with a cheapo tele that fit in my locker. I found it a couple years ago and remember it sounding a lot...better... in 2002.

Modeling has come a LONG way.

Updated my Travel Rig. The Moorer knobs are lower and fit better in the case
