  • NPAD - Orange Terror Stamp

Already nicknamed it Le Grande Orange

Ridiculous! Bought it as a backup/flyrig amp but I think it's gonna get a lot of use. I just got it and ran it into my 1x12 partial open back with a GB128 and man is it loud! Toneful too, well in an angry Orange kind of way lol. I'll A/B it over the weekend with my Dual Terror but it is definitely from the same family. Get the feeling having an EQ in the loop would probably make this this super friendly anywhere it goes.

It has a JJ ECC83S in it, bought it used so I am not sure if that is stock or not but my other Oranges have shipped with JJ's so I suppose it is.

Cool! I have been curious about these little guys. I have been pretty impressed by the lower level Orange Crush amps too.

They have managed to get a really wide, usable range out of their preamp circuits that I don't think I have seen from another company.

I have been using a lowly Crush 20 for practice, sometimes using headphones, and it sounds really good clean all the way up to metal territory.

      Congrats on the new amp!

Can confirm. I bought a Micro Dark last August, because my main amp was in the shop. It's so good that I'm not even that pissed that my main amp is STILL in the shop.

The most popular thread I've ever made was 1) a joke and 2) based around literally the most inane/mundane question I could think of. That says something about me, or all of you, or both.

no I don't, I rarely go direct or use cab sims but I guess these days it's nice to have the option. when I ran a Vetta II or the DT25 the soundtechs never wanted to go direct, I think that's changed especially for cover bands
