Does anyone have any reccomendations on good books for valve amps? The biggest electronics project I've ever done was dropping in a set of Seth Lovers, 500K pots, Orange Drops and 50's wiring on my Les Paul Standard. Pretty lame I know, but it came out looking and sounding better than the factory job. I would be working mostly on Fender stuff. I've been thinking of doing a tweed Champ or Deluxe kit for some fun. Thanks

I read in 2 german books... can't remember the author yet. Before I would build a tube amp I would maybe do something simplier like an effects pedal.

btw a tube headphone amp would be a cool project

I've been on the forum all day, and now I'm lazy!

Not rude at all. Everyone should try to use the search function whenever possible. That's why we save all these thousands of old threads....

I wish everyone would use it more.

I did it again...nothing. I guess I'll try it again later. Well, at least I feel better that I'm not the only one who couldn't get it to work.

just paste the title of your thread in the search box

there are several books, and I'm at work now, so a search is best

                  Re: Tube Amp Books

I'd start with Gerald Weber's first two books, and Aspen Pittman's.

also look for books by Kevin O'Connor (technical and thorough), Dave Thunderfunk, Richie Fliegler, Dan Erlewine, and Tom Mitchell

                  hope that helps some
