Where the Swamp Thang seems to be more scooped and chunky, the Texas Heat is more forward and dare I say, spanky. The two complement each other well.

Good review. When I was looking to replace the Sheffield speakers in my Peavey 5150 combo that I had purchased used, I knew I wanted something from Celestion. I sent an email to the company and they suggested the G12M-65 Creamback. I purchased two for my amp. I liked them so much that I ended up buying an empty Avatar 212 as an extension cab and installed two more 65’s in it. From clean to mean, the Creamback’s deliver for me. They’re great sounding speakers and I recommend them highly. I understand they also pair well with Creamback 75’s.
