Hey guys, I've heard people say that it's ok, but I dunno how credible they are... is it ok to use a bass guitar with a Boss GT-8 effects unit? I will probably have to adjust the input levels as the bass is active, but just thought I'd ask first incase I'm about to ruin something!

Re: Bass into a GT-8?
I've tried it, at low volumes, with both active and passive instruments. Worked OK for me, but it was just an experiment to try how a wah and chorus would sound on bass, I won't be playing it regularly this way (actually, probably never again). I don't know if it would be suitable for higher input levels and volumes. I once heard someone say the low frequencies of the bass could blow the IC-chip of a guitar modeling device. Sounds to me like absolute rubbish though, but I'm not too certain.Guitars: EBMM Silhouette Special / G&L ASAT Special / ESP Horizon / Squier MIJ Strat / Squier Aff.
