    it's a negligible difference

then again, negligible isn't in a tone whore's dictionary so here it is

lower impedance = more raw & punchy

The mesa 2x12 has the vintage 30 ... and was 8ohms
the marshall 4x12 is switchable from 4 to 16 ohms

small difference. I had the experience with my amp that 16Ohm cab and head sounds a bit smoother than 4Ohm head and 4Ohm cab which was a bit rawer.... just my memory I'm playing an 8 ohm cab at the moment..
how much ohms does the mesa have... i would play through both....
    I like the Vintage30 over the G12t75 (???)

    Hails guys
    i recently acquired a marshall 1960 4x12 cabinet
and it has the mono option to switch between 4 or 16 ohms Mono. and 8 ohms Stereo Only(that i´ll not use, of course)
is there any tonal difference between the 4 and 16 ohms mode?
i´m asking that because i was using a 2x12 mesa loaded with 2 vintage 30 celestions.. and i think(instead of it doesn[t handle the porwer of teh 5150 head enough) i has more "HUMP" or soemthing Like that ...
but the 4x12 in 4 ohms mode sounded LOUDER with easy
    Any thoughts?!!?
    Hails

thanks for the help in advance
Working...
