hahaha.. .. I am actully looking into buying a Gibson Lespaul. sorta heading to get either a Lespaul Standard or a Lespaul Custom.

Pornograffiti was recorded with the ADA MP-1 into a Solidstate poweramp (I think it was Machintosh)

There's a pawn shop in Souix Falls SD that had two MP-1's for $200 each. I have an ADA and I love it. I use a Electro Harmonix 12ax7 in the first stage and a Svetlana 5771 in the second stage so it has plenty of crunch without the noise of the second 12ax7 stage.

                Yep used the ADA live.
Almost no effects, and very dry too.
                Studio it was marshalls though.

Well if Michael Wagener himself says it was recorded with an MP-1...

Well, I'm not kidding, but the setup for Vito was exactly the same, down to the Steinberger and Nuno also used the same setup on "Pornograffitti" (with the N2 Washburn guitar), in fact we even used the same preset on the ADA on all three. Besides the players and the guitars the only difference was the room.

                    It's the fingers...

I have a guitar world magazine from when PornoGraffiti was released and it says his setup was an ada mp-1, McIntosh tube power amps and cabs with Peavey scorpion speakers.

I was under the impression that Nuno used a Soldano SLO 100 for studio work and only rigged up the MP-1s for live work. I listened to his live work compared to his studio recordings, and I believe I can pick up the subtle differences between the MP-1 and the Soldano rig.

Also, here's somthing that Michael Wagener said on the recforum site:

I personally dont know where he got that from but Software version doesnt make a difference in the tone of the unit at all. It'll give you more & different patches, but it will not change the tone in anyways. I dont know what he's talking about.
