  • Any of you had this problem ??

I've gotten an old 70s Fender super twin reverb.

Its been going fine for the past few months and alluva sudden the volume just dies down during playing

After some rest the volume pickups up again and sometimes during playing, the volume dies down and picks up again.

Any had this similiar problem ?
Whats the cause of it ?

    Thanks

Could be bad tubes. I had the problem before and that solved it. Especially if the amp is old
    Peavey Wolfgang(USA) EBMM pickups
Meanstreet Exile (Wolfgang Copy) evh set
Sterling AX40 stock (Fender Wolfgang bridge/AN neck)
    Epiphone LP Special w/JB
Rouge P Bass SD Quarter Pounders
    Epiphone Acoustic with seymour woody

    Peavey 6505+ combo

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a SF Fender from the 70's should still be PTP, and not have PCB related problems. Besides tubes it could possibly be tired filter caps in the power supply. Does it hum or ghost much?
