  • Received the first Celtic 2x12 Extension cab today...PICS

    All black, gibson/mesa/matchless wrinkle tolex. white piping. heavy black cloth. front baffle board slants back sligthly. open back, its big and it's a bit heavy with the 2 Mojo 30H's in it. But, it's sweet. I can finally sell the Two Rock 2x12. Pictures tomorrow.

      The fine american craftsmen at Mojo. It's their Bluesbreaker 2x12 extension cab with the split front baffle. I just had them mod it to my specs, but it was worth it. I'm not down with salt and pepper grill cloth, well not that bad, but not really my thing. bottom line, I'm having fun with this stuff.

        It's great to see you so into what you are doing. These are the things that make life good.

        Now that I've read about the new effects pedal Evan is introducing at NAMM, I'm much closer to ordering an amp from you, when you're caught up. A single channel class A amp with that pedal sounds like tonal bliss.

            Did you get the Marshall handles on the sides?

            That was my wish when I had one of those cabs.....the strap on top is just a little lacking when trying to tote it around.

              Something this big doesn't seem like it's going to get toted around too much. No, I just got the handle on top. Maybe on the next one, side handles might make some sense. The head is llike 30 inches or 32 inches wide. You're going to have to have quite a wingspan to use side handles.

                WOW......the one I had was the standard Bluesbreaker, maybe 30" wide & when loaded, the handle was basically useless.

                The cab I had...Jeff Swanson...make me, I had him put the handles on the sides. Big difference even if you're just moving it to the garage (my hideaway ).

                        I wish it wasn't so big to be honest, but it's engineered such that it will sound exactly as it should if it is a closed back. So, this gives someone the option of buying it either open or closed. BTW, it sounds freaking huge as an open back.

                            Nice looking cab Scott;the piping really makes it stand out. Tell us a bit about those new Mojo speakers, How do they sound and what speakers are they designed to mimic.

                              30H = G12H30
                              30V = Vintage 30
                              25M = Greenback

                              And, they sound very much as do the originals. I've tried all three. My favorite is the 30H. I've got a single one in my Franklin 1x12 and I put these two new ones in this cab.
