  • My beautiful amp!

And here she is: The long-awaited handbuilt circa 1969 Traynor YBA-1A, aka the Canuck Plexi!

Some awesome, partially-dead 30+ year old tubes on a filthy carpet:

    Shaky pic of the back:

Thanks to CapoFirstFret! Also, if anyone has an old Traynor nameplate, please PM me!

Looks like a sweet catch man! Vintage Traynors are pretty sweet from what I've heard.

I also think it's kind of funny that there is a thread called "My Ugly Amp" and one called "My Beautiful Amp"

I'm just glad the amp made it there so solidly...I was really worried...did you get some new tubes thrown in there to see if that took care of your noise problem? I know that when I put the EL34's and 12AX7's out of my sister's Laney in there, that problem went away, but obviously I couldn't just gank my sister's tubes to keep Glad you're enjoying it man!

Also, FWIW, I might have an old Traynor logo laying around...let me see if I can dig it up!

Apparently, it's that ungrounded cable - I'm getting one installed as I type, and your amp will be in the mail tomorrow if all goes according to plan. Sorry about the wait, man...and I gotta get some new tubes, too.
