  • Can i Damage My Amp if I

Can i Damage My Amp if I plug in two seprate jacks, I have a A/B box i was going to put A output in the High Sensitivity for distortion and the B output in the Low Sensitivity for clean. This is a single channel amp with 2 inputs. Can this be done with out damaging the amp?

That doesn't cause any harm to the amp if you do that. But I think one the inputs will only be on if you plug into both inputs on the amp.

It could be a moot point-On some amps, when you plug into the hi side it automatically turns the lo into the hi-or evens out both inputs so if two players are using the same amp, they are at the same level- I don't know about your amp. I guess just try it out!

Yeah i gave it a try and the sound totally cut in half, I think all just get another amp for the clean channel. Thanks for the replys

This doesn't work without mods on some amps...(for example soldano hot rod)
just pull back the guitars volume and the sound is clean, where is the problem

            TS 7 (modded)

            V-AMP II for practice
