Hey guys,
I keep a mini maglite near my pedal board for quick adjustments in the dark. Anyways, last nite as I was jamming, I accidentally dropped the flashlite on my Boss EQ pedal (GE-7). When the lite hit the metal casing, it made an audible sound thru my amp. I thought this was strange and tapped my flashlite against different areas on all of my pedals. Sure enough, only the GE-7 made the same tapping noise thru my amp. The others were silent and you could not hear any tapping. Otherwise the pedal itself makes no other unwanted noise unless you tap on it. This is with the guitar volume turned all the way down (off) and the amp on its normal (high gain) setting.
Does this mean my pedal is bad? I've checked all of my connections and their fine, and I use high quality cables between each pedal so I don't think its my wires. Is there a remedy or a known cause for this? Is it time to get a new EQ? None of my other pedals do this and some are even old than this one...
Thanks!
