  • Amp almost built, I need to build the enclosure...

I got a Madamp G2 and it should be finished tomorrow or in 2 days, and I'm wondering how I could finish the project. I was thinking about simply putting it in head format, with black cloth at the front, nothing at the back, and of course this black plastic thing around the wood that I have no idea how it's called...
So anyway... Any tips would be appreciated. For the wood I was simply thinking about Pine ply, as most cabinets seem to be made of it.

Do I just need to get the proper dimensions 4 pieces, put the blackplasticthingwhosenameIforgot around it, assemble it all, put in the corner et voila..?
Mostly I'm concerned with how to get the black cloth that'll go in front a la Marshall and the black thing to put around the wood. Thanks people!
Ah and bulding even a 2W single channel baby is ****ing hard at times, and one of my fingers is a painful reminder of it now I ALWAYS forget to tin my wires before soldering the connection and as such I can't put the shrink tube properly over the whole of the thing...

    Bump for you builders...

What I'm thinking of would be 5 pieces of wood... One as the baseplate, 2 for sides, one top, and another where to put the cloth in, on top of the panel. The back would be left without anything. Problem is, I know nothing about tolex or if I should take care of anything special regarding the head.

No digital camera man sorry I have pretty much no ways of taking pics at all for now.

I'm not using tolex this first time out when building my cabinet. I figure I have enough on my plate with the building of the amp and cabinet. I'm curious to hear how it goes for you though.

If an auction goes right for me soon, I'll be needing to build a custom enclosure also. I'm gonna do something freaky if I can get the materials.
