  • Lynch Reverb/Delay Question

I'm sure lots of you have seen the Mr. Scary video on YouTube, anyways I was wondering how he got that super saturated reverb and delay sound? Was he using a rack unit or pedals or neither?

Back then, it was all rack stuff. Lots of it.

To be totally honest, that live in the studio version sounds aweful to me. There's way too much reverb/delay on it. I can barely make out what he's doing and I've heard the song a bazillion times. The amount of reverb/delay on the album version is about right.

it's a little too much on the rhythm stuff but on single note lead stuff it sounds pretty grand IMO. i haven't heard any other version than this youtube one though.

Go out and buy yourself a copy of Dokken's "Back for the Attack". It's on that album. The whole album is good IMO.

God bless, there's so much reverb you can hardly hear the individual notes.
