  • Good starter DIY amp (not a kit)

    So i got a good housing for an amp and i have some expirence with electronics and I wanted to know if anyone had a sugestion for a good starter DIY amp (not a kit) it would have to be around 10 watts and a tube amp. Thanks.

      I'm guessing a schematic and parts list.
      Equipment:
      Squier Stratocaster CII (JB/Stock Singles)
      Electro-Harmonix Big Muff
      Crate GT212

      Wanting To Buy:
      Les Paul Pickguard
      ToM Bridge+Tailpiece

          Any sort of Champ

          Any of these is simple enough to build for a first-timer. Make your selection on whether your tates run to Fender, Marshall, or in-between. Or, maybe make your decision on what sort of donor parts (esp. transformers) you can scrounge. The 18 Watter is push-pull, but its preamp is so dirt-simple that it's an easy build.
