  • One preamp, 2 Poweramps?

Can I send a guitar signal into a mono preamp, then split the lineout signal from the preamp into 2 and feed it to 2 separate poweramps? Thanks.

    Yes.

You'll need a unit like a 'mesa/boogie hi-gain amp switcher' which is made to deal with tube poweramps so they dont burn out or blow fuses when your not running signal to them.

Depending on what you want to use this for, could you not just get a stereo power amp? Both Marshall and Mesa make them, as do most other amp manufacturers I would imagine.

        Most poweramps are stereo.
I thought he meant he wanted to use different power sections for different sounds ie- EL84s in one and 5881's in another.

Are you looking to switch between the 2 poweramps? or you want to run both at the same time?
