Cheapest BF or Tweed alike amp out there?

Re: Cheapest BF or Tweed alike amp out there?

Woaaa so cheap... Those run for around 600 pounds in the UK usually. There's a SF Twin for sale in a local store for 900. And Blues Deluxe are close to £500. I think this ain't Fender heaven... I need to move to the US damnit...

Totally off brand here, but check out the Classic Series from Peavey. Fender-y cleans and decent overdrive/gain.

easy on the pocket book too.

What exactally are you looking for?

You mentioned either a tweed Deluxe a tweed Bassman and a Deluxe Reverb...those are 3 pretty different amps.

As for low cost alternatives to a BF the SF stuff is the way to go...I mean a SF Deluxe Reverb will go for around $900 (ballpark) and that might seem high but it's a lot less that $2300 for a good BF model. I would still say that a early 70's SF Deluxe Reverb with a few choice mods and a good speaker is a far better amp that a BF Deluxe Reverb reissue.

If you want a Tweed Bassman there a million clones and kits that are far less than the real deal and the same goes for a Tweed Deluxe.

Yeah...........I agree I have a first series '67 Deluxe Reverb.... a SF. It does not have an origianl speaker, but for the most part it is all original. Its a drip edge model. I used this amp quite a bit over tha last year. The major drawback to a DR is the lack of headroom. I really could use this amp without an OD pedal it sounded so sweet. The lack of headroom kept me looking for someting else. I now use a Bogner Shiva. Headroom issues no more!. I still have the Deluxe and will probably never sell it.
