  • eminence legend spkrs?

there's an avatar 2x12 cab at my fav shop for 150. it says it's got eminence legend spkrs in it. does anyone know how these will sound with my setup future and current.
current: my signature excluding the cab and some 6l6gc tubes
future: same only with tung sol 12ax7a and SED el34's

is it worth the $150? i assume it is. i'm gonna test it out

    i don't know wether it's closed open 1/2 or 3/4s

They are good enough for Andy Fuchs and his amps - all his cabs are now loaded with them. I have heard nothing but good things about this speaker.

legend is just the name of the guitar speaker series.
(the oldest series are called legend, then they released red coat and patriot series)
so asking if eminence legend is good, is asking for eminence guitars spkrs good.
afaik yes! i had a gb12 in the past (eminence legend gb12) which was very
nice. i had a eminence legend B102 (for bass) which was awesome.
currently i'm thinking of putting a patriot texas heat in my combo, but
        haven't done it yet.
i built lots of cabs in the past using alpha, beta and gamma series.
i just had once doa, which could also be an accidently returned speaker
sold to me from the reseller. despite this, i was always very happy with
eminence and can't complain about quality or sound.

if you are interested in the cab, check out which spkrs are inside and
check on the eminence site if they could fit your taste. otherwise play
it and you hear them ^^
quality won't be an issue. imo eminence is top class

there's more than one model in the eminence legend line -- i had a legend 122 and after liking it at first i decided it wasn't what i wanted and changed to a celestion g12h30, which i like better. but it's hard to say -- a lot of people on the harmony central site like it a lot -- you can't do much but try it out and trust your ears....

I've got Emi Legend V-12s in a Pro Reverb & they're very good.

$150.00 for that loaded cab is good.....You can take your head down there & try it, but I'd grab the cab & then swap speakers if they're not your thing.

Huge Emi fan. I use many of their Legend speakers. If it is poss to find which model, it would help greatly in telling you what they will sound like. 150.00 is a very solid price, if you like it, I would likey take the plunge.
