    Really good interview. That precision looks dangerous with that humbucker.

    I don't know if he played on the latest Taylor Swift release, but that album has some really deep and fat bass tones... the bass is as big as any hip hop album.

    Kudos to his tech for suggesting the Duncan SMB-5A for those low B notes... he'll need it for most of the bass lines on Red.
    Best amp tech I've ever had and hands down one of the best electronic/sound wizards in the NC Piedmont.

        I never understood why people who weren't satisfied with just "P" - one split style pickup went with a Jazz pickup in the bridge instead of picking something more heavyweight like a humbucker. Guitarists have figured that out from the very first HSS strats.

        Other manufacturers figured that out:



        Of course this pickup is a little too close to the bridge, but at least it keeps the magnetic fields apart.
