  • Blackouts for bass preamp question

    Hi,
I just bought the Blackouts for Bass preamp with separate bass and treble and have one question?
Which pot is bass and which is treble, one of them has a circuit board attached, is that one bass or treble.
    part number is:
    BLACKOUTS® BASS PREAMP - 2BAND SEPARATE STC-2S-BO

    Thanks
    John

    Welcome to the forum!

Actually, this I don't know! But I would hook it all up, and test it before you put it in your bass. You should be able to hear it right away.

Does anyone from SD know this? Or anyone who has installed one?
      Thanks

Since these have a switchable treble option, and the switch is right beside the pot that's on the circuit board . . . I'm going to bet dollars-to-doughnuts that the circuit board pot is treble. Mind you, just a guess.
