I've played a few, and the answer is no different from any other guitar, "It depends on the scale(s) of the specific instrument and which strings you use." The ones I played had a lot less tension than a set of 11s in E-standard, but they weren't set up with heavy strings.

Interested in getting a multi-scale myself but wanna really put one though the paces first. No hurry, though. I have a Spector that sounds phenominal and a multiscale would have to be life changing to make me spend any kind of real cash on another 5 string. That one you have there would definitely earn a test run if I saw it in the bass place.

Awesome score! I like what I've heard of the Bartolini + Ibanez combo, great smooth and full sound

    Enjoy those fanned frets too

Me too..I thought fanned frets would be really weird, but they aren't at all. It think they sound great on a 5 or 6 string bass. Not really worth it on a 6 or 7 string guitar, though.

They sound good, idk how to describe bass pickups like I do guitar, but I'd say lots of low end, but still punchy and clear like a p-bass
