  • Installing SD Antiquity IIs in a 1986-1987 MIJ Fender Jazz

I started taking apart the bass last night......have not read directions....and of course have a question

Antiquity II's only have 2 wires. Should I keep the old metal ground plates (removing foam so the new pickups fit)? thanks!

ive done it both ways and i didnt really notice a difference. if you keep the plate, make sure to keep it grounded. i love the way the antiquity ii pups sound by the way

I chose to leave them in minus the old foam...worked like a charm. The pickups sound sweet! I still need to finish my setup and I'm getting a new pickguard tomorrow.
