  • Classic 30 speaker empedance?....

one part of the description says 16 ohms and 8 ohms but when you look the manual it says minimium speaker empedance is 16 ohms. does this mean if you hooked up a cab the speakers would have to be 16 ohms or could they be 8 ohms like the regular avatar 2x12. just a little confused.

You can get the v30 in 16 or 8 ohm models. Most amps are ok with both of these impedances.
The word "minimum" is easy to get confused with, because impedance is inverse to current.

I like to use 16 ohm speakers for more flexibility.
2 16 ohm speakers in parallel make 8 ohms. Is it a 1x12 box or 2x12?

its a 2x12 box. so two 16 ohm speakers (2x12) equals 8 ohms right?

You got it. In parallel = 8 ohms.
