  • Telecaster Routing Question

Not for me. But a friend is considering building a Tele, and he was asking how he would route the wiring. I was thinking that since it has a pickguard, the routing would be easy from the neck pup to the switching. However, the bridge pup is behind the pickguard.

I was thinking he could drill a horizontal hole from the bridge pup routing into the space beneath the pickguard, and route that way.

He was also thinking of not using a pickguard.

Any links to how to route Tele's?

    Thanks in advance.

With a long drill bit You could drill from the neck pocket thru the neck
PuP cavity, Then just keep going untill you reach the control cavity.
