He and i went after work to the GC and looked at stomp box's he need a distortion stomp and he likes the digitech metal master but he plays a [my old] peavey 212 transtube with sheffield speakers in it . but he only could find a crate 212 multi fx thing and the speakers were crate brand.
the thing is the crate sounded dam good with that box but the question is will it sound as good through the sheffield speakers????
I have no idea and there is no way he can bring in the peavey to try it so the question possed is this should he buy the stomp on what it sounded like through the crate or do you think it will sound completley differant through the sheffield speakers more specific not as good.
