  • really, really stupid question

i've always thought it would be cool to put a blue jewel (whatever they're called...the little cover that goes over the pilot light on the front of amps) on my amp, just to be sweet. i see that they have them on allparts.com, but they say they're for fender amps...i have a mesa. are these things pretty much universal? or would i have to look elsewhere to find one?
    gear:

'05 gibson les paul studio vintage mahogany (DiMarzio Super Distortion/ SD Jazz)
'04 gibson SG standard (BurstBucker Pro's)
    mesa/boogie 2-channel dual rectifier (with EL34's)
    marshall 1960A 4x12
    and a few pedals

Yeah, I also own a Single Recto. Just imagining those old tymer Dual Rectos... The Chrome chassis and of course, the blue LED. Smokin'!

Why not just try the Fender bulb? It's probably cheap as dirt and it can't hurt to try it.

Observe the blue jewel to the left of the logo on the amp.

Well my amp I had made with the gold grille and the Blue vinyl so I got the blue jewel to match it. If it was black I probably would have gotten a purple jewel.

Yeah LOL its easy to mistake for the lighting. I wantedsomething classy and different so when I ordered direct from Boogie (no floor models for me!)I got those color options.

heres a better view that shows off the pimpin' colors. Also FYI thats a Marshall 1960AX cab its sitting on.

LOL thanx guys. That amp and that cab is really a magic combination. I love the tones it produces.

What cabs are you guys using on your single recs?

I'm runnin my recto through a standard mesa 4X12, but without my v-twin, my tone would be crap, it's a blessing

You run a V-Twin into a Recto? Which one? I only have two channels, so I was thinking of getting a V-Twin to use as a quasi third and forth channel (I want to use it to push the clean channel and for a lead boost on my distortion channel). Do you think it would work for that stuff?
