    Anyone have any good tips or know of any good videos/DVDs to learn fingerstyle guitar????

    Listen to Jo Pass. Really good jazz player that playeed with his fingers and thumb (if I'm not mistaken). I beleive he put out a video a couple of years back.

      Joe Pass is amazing!!! But I don't think Jazz is what you are looking for. I would recommend locating a really good fingerstyle player in your area and take a few lessons. I play with my fingers almost all the time when I play acoustic. I learned how to use my right hand properly in order to play slide (i had taken a few lessons with a local guy). 6 months after I had taken lessons my fingerpickng had become more automatic. Today I would not use a pick at all unless I needed to play really fast.
