  • Home Recording

I'm looking to do some home recording, but I don't want to spend $1000s of dollars. Something that can record 4-8 tracks, that I can pop on to my PC possibly (USB preferred) for either sending to friends or burning onto a CD. I'd like to stay under $500. Or even something that can burn a CD, but I think those get pricey.

Any recommendations? I looked around, but its kind of overwhelming! Tascam (that's the only manufacturer that I know of) has like so many choices that my head spins. Hehe so any ideas would be appreciated.

The DigiDesign M-Box is $400 and comes with most of the same software that the Digi 002 and 002 rack come with.
