OMG! Let's get it right....

There are explorers and there are destroyers. They are not the same - not that the differences are enough to matter!!!!!

That Phil Collin model is the ultimate destroyer!

Re: Destroyer Appreciation Thread

That extra lip on the lower bout and near the strap lock make the Destroyer. The black one is the only one I'd ever want...or perhaps a deep burgundy.

Re: Destroyer Appreciation Thread

Those are all destroyers...some are Destroyer IIs however.

Here's my contribution, with hopefully another (different model) on the way :D

Actually the explorer shaped ones are named Destroyer I and the other ones Destroyer II..

And Destroyer II´s rock! I want a natural finished one but still a white explorer with a black diamondplate, not just the scratchplate but the whole front, would rock... Anybody got a pic of one of those?

Re: Destroyer Appreciation Thread

As of this minute, yes JeffB. :scratchch I just feel like I could not replace it for the money I would get out of it with the gouge. I think my friend would want one undamaged in the long run and this would get sold so I might as well hangon to it.

Ringlund-"..I want a natural finished one..." :approve::approve::approve::friday:

I have never seen a Natural finshed Destroyer II but if I ever DID. WHOA!!!

Re: Destroyer Appreciation Thread

LOL.. way too cool ! Here's a shot of the DT-155 I just bought this week!

THe whole thing is nearly ready for gigs... I need a fret leveling and then DONE! Next is the bridge pickup, of course, the historically correct Super Distortion dbl-cream! Oh.. and the pots too, they look too cheap! Probably some cream speed knobs!
