  • Epiphone Galaxie 10 tube amp.

Anyone have any experience with these?

Epiphone Galaxie 10 class A tube amp

All tube, class A operation. In my power range and at $200, right at my price point.

    Almost seems too cheap.

Check HC. I wouldnt mind tryin it, but I jus dont have 200 bucks to blow on something I *might* like.

I bought one just to try out and return...it was really nice.

Could you get that classic "tube" tone out of it?

I read a bunch of reviews on the Galaxy 10 and 25 and everyone seems to have a complaint with an inherent hissing noise when the amp is turned up above 3 or 4. It's the reason I passed on it.

Boy, you're right. The reviews over at HC weren't very good. People were struggling to say anything nice about it, and even those who did, recommended changing both the speaker and tubes!

I believe I'll make like a capacitor - and bypass on this one.
